The United States has decided to levy antidumping duties on imports of South Korean carbon and alloy steel wire rod.
The U.S. International Trade Commission said Tuesday that imports from five countries including South Korea, Turkey and Spain, are hurting domestic producers.
With such measures, carbon and alloy steel wire rod manufactured by POSCO and other Korean steelmakers will be subject to a duty of 41-point-one percent.
U.S. imports of wire rod from South Korea amounted to twelve-point-two million dollars in 2016.
